Flying with two or more pets by private jet

The short answer

Often yes. The aircraft is priced as a whole, so extra pets do not add a charge, but every pet needs its own microchip, vaccination and certificate. Great Britain and the EU treat more than five pets as a different kind of movement, and some countries set lower limits.

Households with two dogs, or a dog and a cat, are common on our flights. The aircraft cost does not change with the number of pets, but the paperwork multiplies.

The limits

  • Great Britain: you cannot bring more than 5 pets unless you are attending or training for a competition, show or sporting event. Every pet must be over 6 months old and meet the normal rules, with written proof for the event
  • EU and Northern Ireland: since 22 April 2026 the limit is 5 pets per private vehicle. The official pages do not say how that applies to a whole private aircraft, so we ask the destination authority
  • United Arab Emirates: no more than 2 pets per person per year
  • Turkey: 2 pets per person (consulate note)
  • USA: no limit, but every dog needs its own CDC import form

More than five pets, or a pet travelling more than five days before or after its owner, or any sale or rehoming, falls under different "commercial" rules with extra requirements.

Each pet needs its own

  • Microchip and rabies vaccination record
  • Certificate or passport for the route
  • Tapeworm treatment record, for dogs entering Great Britain
  • Space: we choose an aircraft with room for all of them to settle

Practical tips

  • Tell us if the pets travel well together, or have ever fought
  • Bring a harness or carrier for each
  • A person you authorise in writing can bring a pet if they travel within 5 days before or after you

Tell us how many pets and which, and we confirm the limits for your route. See the rules by country.

Rules change. Everything here was checked against official sources on 20 October 2026. Always confirm the current rules for your route; we do it for you when you enquire.
